Help Build the Future of Hospitality Technology
Will you help us bring the future to the table? We think you might.
At Munu, we build technology that helps restaurants, bars, and hotels work smarter, grow faster, and deliver unforgettable guest experiences. With deep roots in the hospitality industry and a strong foothold across the Nordics, we create powerful tools that let hospitality teams focus on what matters most - their guests.
We're not just another SaaS provider. At Munu, we work the shift with our customers. We build intelligent, cloud-based solutions that solve real operational challenges - from opening to close.
Our team is growing quickly, supported by founders, employees, and Øgreid - a Stavanger-based investment company scaling strong Scandinavian companies since 1876. Together, we're transitioning from a start-up to one of the leading hospitality tech players in Northern Europe.
If you want to make real impact, move fast, and help transform an entire industry, pull up a chair.
At Munu, culture isn't posters on a wall - it's how we work.
We take pride in high standards, curiosity, and collaboration. We challenge ideas, not people. We experiment, learn fast, and support each other through wins and setbacks. Everyone has a voice here, and everyone contributes to the end result.
We believe great hospitality starts with great technology - and great technology starts with great teams.
If you care about building meaningful products with people who care just as much as you do, you'll feel at home.
You'll join a small, tight-knit cross-functional team (PM, designer, engineers) building the next generation of our online ordering platform. We're moving from 900 individual Azure App Services to a modern multi-tenant, event-driven architecture --- a major technical shift that you'll play a central role in delivering.
This is a hands-on role with wide ownership. You'll work across the stack:
Frontend: React and Next.js
Backend: Modern .NET/C#
Cloud: Azure for compute, orchestration, CI/CD, and observability
You'll architect and operate event-driven services, shape cloud infrastructure, and ship features used daily by thousands of restaurants.
We're not looking for someone who waits for perfect specifications. We want someone who dives into ambiguity, asks great questions, and helps define what we build - not just how.
Build and operate event-driven microservices powering online ordering for 1,000+ restaurants
Design and manage Azure infrastructure (container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring)
Work across backend and frontend to deliver end-to-end features
Collaborate daily with product and design to solve real user problems
Make smart engineering tradeoffs --- knowing when to move fast and when to invest
Ship early, validate with users, and iterate quickly
Think about products, not just code --- you care about purpose and user impact
Prefer simple, robust solutions over clever abstractions
Have built or operated event-driven systems (queues, topics, async workflows, CQRS)
Know Azure well --- or learn new cloud infrastructure quickly
Are comfortable with Terraform or similar IaC tools
Are strong in .NET/C# or a comparable backend stack
Enjoy tight collaboration with PMs, designers, and other engineers
Like to ship early, gather feedback, and improve continuously
Are curious, humble, and motivated by real-world problems
First month: You understand our systems, have shipped real value, and contribute to architectural discussions.
First quarter: You own a meaningful part of the platform --- infrastructure or major features --- and the team already relies on you.
First year: You've been key to executing the multi-tenant migration, strengthened system reliability, and elevated engineering practices across the team.
You'll help shape the core technology behind one of the Nordics' fastest-growing hospitality platforms
You'll directly impact thousands of restaurants and millions of guest interactions
You'll be part of a culture built on curiosity, learning, and collaboration --- not ego
You'll join a company backed by deep industry expertise and long-term partners like Øgreid
You'll have room to experiment, take risks, and grow --- into architecture, leadership, partnerships, or wherever your strengths lead
You'll build technology that helps real operators work smarter, not harder
Location: Stavanger, Full-time, Hybrid
