In this role, you will act as the senior technical authority for remotely supported survey activities, leading operational coordination, survey quality, and real-time decision support to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution. Working from our ROC in Haugesund, you will collaborate closely with offshore teams, Online Surveyors, ROV personnel, project stakeholders, and clients to maintain operational continuity, survey integrity, and delivery performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate ROC survey operations to support safe and efficient offshore execution
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to Online Surveyors and ROC personnel
• Monitor survey performance, positioning integrity, navigation systems, and operational risk during live operations
• Ensure survey quality, data assurance, reporting, and digital deliverables meet project and contractual requirements
• Coordinate operational decision support, troubleshooting, and escalation of technical or operational issues
• Support operational planning, mobilisation, system readiness, and shift continuity
• Mentor and develop survey personnel while promoting operational consistency and continuous improvement
What We Are Looking For
• Degree or technical qualification in Hydrographic Survey, Geomatics, Marine Technology, Engineering, Geoscience, or a related discipline
• Extensive experience in offshore survey, subsea operations, positioning, navigation systems, ROV survey support, or related disciplines
• Strong knowledge of online survey systems, positioning systems, survey software, data acquisition, and reporting workflows
• Proven leadership capability in survey or offshore operational environments
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Fluent English, written and verbal
