Role Overview

We are looking for a Test & Quality Assurance Lead for one of our clients in Oslo. You will join a Corporate Lending Transformation programme aimed at replacing core systems used to originate credit cases and service loans. In this senior role you will take central responsibility for setting the overall direction for quality assurance, governing the quality framework, and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, enterprise architecture, and risk and compliance expectations. You will work closely with the delivery lead and cross-functional teams to ensure products and platforms consistently meet the highest standards.

What You'll Do

  • Establish overall test strategy for the complex lending delivery stream

  • Plan and coordinate functional and non-functional testing within and across IT teams

  • Ensure complete test coverage across all involved units

  • Ensure end-to-end testing from a functional and business perspective

  • Plan and execute non-functional tests including security, performance, and maintainability

  • Lead regression testing and test automation initiatives

  • Orchestrate cross-team test planning and coordinate integration testing for complex dependencies

  • Lead production readiness assessments

  • Provide data-driven insights into quality trends, KPIs, and risk indicators to support leadership decisions

  • Lead incident reviews and drive continuous improvement

  • Champion effective use of tools such as ALM/Octane, JIRA, and test data management solutions

Who You Are

Must-Have Requirements:

  • Higher relevant education

  • Experience in test management for large-scale complex initiatives

  • Strong background in both functional and non-functional testing

  • Good understanding of cloud-based applications and core platforms

  • Good understanding of the banking industry including financial processes and data — commercial lending background is a strong advantage

  • Experience working with multifunctional global teams

  • Experience with agile development and testing

  • Experience with product tracking and test tools such as JIRA

  • Familiarity with AI within the QA area

  • Relevant certification (e.g. ISTQB)

  • Fluent in Norwegian and English (both mandatory)
